Admission Requirements

Make sure you meet the following admissions requirements when you start the application process.

  • B.C. graduate (i.e., B.C. grade 12 high school certificate, B.C. Adult Graduation Certificate, General Education Development, or equivalent secondary school completion from another jurisdiction),
  • OR Mature student: 19 years of age or over on the first day of class, AND proficient in English

English proficiency can be demonstrated through:

  • IELTS – minimum overall band test score 5.5, OR
  • CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) 7, OR
  • Successfully complete the Cumberland College English Assessment

Provide supporting documents with your application including: 

  • Proof of education
  • Proof of age
  • Payment of the admission fee
